As stated in the Stone Ridge Parent Handbook,
“Always check the Stone Ridge Web site first. In case of snow or other extreme weather emergencies,
Stone Ridge follows Montgomery County for directions on school openings and closings.
If Montgomery County schools are not in session, please check the Stone Ridge Web site.
If Montgomery County school offices are closed, Stone Ridge offices will also be closed.
Parents are urged to devise an emergency-closing plan with their children. Telephone access
at school is limited, and calling home to arrange last-minute pick-up is not recommended.”
Should you call the school for an up-to-date recording, please be sure to dial the number
correctly at 301.657.4322. While sometimes unavoidable, one misdial can lead to disturbing
people unnecessarily.
