Fourth Academic Internship Program
Monday, May 19 through Thursday, May 22, 2008

The program, enhanced by the generous site placements of our alumnae and friends of Stone Ridge, offers the opportunity for Fourth Academic students to experience various job settings and meet professionals in a particular field.  The Alumnae Office and Dean’s Office work closely with each Fourth Academic student to assess her interests and abilities so that each student is placed appropriately.  Students will continue the development of their personal strengths outside the classroom and benefit from the opportunity of making potentially valuable professional contacts.

The program’s goals for the students are as follows:

  1. to reflect critically upon experiences outside a class setting

  2. to exercise responsibility to a supervisor, alumnae sponsor and herself

  3. to develop alumnae relationships and networking opportunities

  4. to meet the demands of the work world through assigned projects from the supervisor

  5. to discover and develop potential career interests and skills

If you are interested in hosting an internship student for this year, please contact Jennifer Barron, Assistant Dean of Students,
at 301-657-4322, ext. 320, or jbarron@stoneridge.org.
(You may also contact Erin Sindelar, Director of Alumnae, at 301.657.4322  Ext 376 or esindelar@stoneridge.org.)

We look forward to another successful year!  We are proud of our students and want our alumnae and friends to see the source of our pride firsthand.  Thank you for your support.
