- What is the Annual Fund?
- The Stone Ridge Annual Fund consists of
contributions given on a yearly basis by current
parents, alumnae, grandparents, alumnae parents, faculty
and staff, and other friends to help Stone Ridge provide
the excellent education for which we are so well-known.
The Annual Fund provides critical support to our
operating budget, which allows the many programs
available our students to exist.
- How can I give?
- To make it easiest for you and most beneficial to our
School, you may contribute in the following ways:
-
Online
with your credit card
- Cash
- Check – make payable to Stone Ridge Annual Fund
- Matching gifts from your employer – please
contact your payroll or human resources office
- Pledge now and pay any time before June 13. Call the
Director of Annual Giving at 301.657.4322 ext. 363
- How much should I give?
- Only you can decide how much to contribute to the Annual Fund
each year. We hope that every member of our school community will
make Stone Ridge a philanthropic
priority. Each
year, we’ll ask that you increase the size of your gift somewhat, in
order to keep up with the rising costs of providing an excellent
education. Participation, however, is an important factor to a
successful Annual Fund. Even if your gift can’t be a sizable one, please
give what you can. Strong participation in the Annual Fund is indicative of a strong school.
Check our
Annual Fund Gift Clubs to have some idea.
- Is my gift tax-deductible?
- Yes! All gifts to the Annual Fund are tax-deductible to
the full extent of the law.
- When should I give?
- The Annual Fund year runs from July 1-June 15; a gift is
welcome and appreciated at any time during this period. All
current parents, alumnae, and other friends of the school are
asked to give first in the fall, and many of them find it
helpful to give at the same time each year. As Annual Fund
gifts affect this year's operating budget, we appreciate gifts
made as early as possible.
- Why does Stone Ridge need an Annual Fund when
current parents are
already asked to pay tuition?
- Tuition payments and related fees provide approximately
71% of Stone Ridge's annual budget. The Annual Fund is a
significant source of funds to help bridge the gap between
tuition income and expenses.
- Why not increase the tuition if it doesn’t cover all the
costs?
- As both a Sacred Heart school and an independent institution, we
strive to make the Stone Ridge experience available to as many young
students as possible, thus educating to a social awareness and
building community. Raising tuition to meet all costs would mean
that many families would be unable to send their children to Stone
Ridge.
- Are families who receive financial aid asked to contribute?
- Yes. Everyone in the Stone Ridge community is asked to
participate with a contribution to the Annual Fund. The Annual
Fund, while providing needed dollars for the School, also helps
demonstrate community support for the work of the fine faculty
and staff who guide our young students every day.
- How do I get more information about the Annual Fund?
- Call the Stone Ridge Office of Institutional Advancement at
301.657.4322 Ext. 363.
