Goals of the Swimming
Curriculum
To ensure that all Stone Ridge students are water safe
and able to successfully pass the Stone Ridge swimming test by the end
of the Eighth Grade year. (New students by the year of graduation.)
The Aquatics Program strives to educate and introduce the students
to a wide variety of aquatics activities as lifetime sports.Classes
All Stone Ridge students in Grades K-8 receive swimming instruction
as part of the physical education curriculum. The classes are taught
by the aquatics director and the physical education teachers. We
accommodate all levels of swimmers in our classes from
beginners and non-swimmers to year-round competitive swimmers.

The Stone Ridge Middle School Swimming Team is part of our Middle
School Athletics Program and will participate in the indoor facility from
3:10-4:00 p.m., Monday-Thursday, November-March. Home swimming meets will
also be held in the indoor facility.
Upper
School Swimming Opportunities
The Stone Ridge Upper School Varsity Swimming and
Diving Teams will utilize the facility between the hours
of 4:00-6:00 p.m., Monday-Friday, November-March. Stone Ridge
will also host Independent School League (ISL) Swimming meets at our new facility.
Gator-Gals Water Polo Club
This club is open to all students in grades 9-12. Practices will be
held on Tuesdays and Thursdays form 3:15-4:15 p.m. in the fall and
spring. USA Water Polo rules and skills are taught and weekly
scrimmages will be played. Physical Education credit may be earned.
Lap Swimming is also available to students at specific
times during the school day and after school.
