For the fall seasons, tryouts generally begin the week prior to the
start of school, which is usually prior to Labor Day. For the

the spring seasons, tryouts generally begin in late February.

Who do I contact if I have a general sports
related question?
Jill Marks is the Upper School Athletic Director. Her phone number
is 301.657.4322, Ext. 339. She can be reached by email at jmarks@stoneridge.org.
Who do I contact if my daughter or I have a specific question and/or
issue regarding my daughter and her sport?
Your first step is to have your daughter approach her
coach with the question/issue. We encourage the student-athletes to
be responsible for themselves and active in their personal growth.
If the question/issue is not resolved, the student-athlete should
then approach the Athletic Director, again exhibiting personal
growth and responsibility. The Athletic Director will communicate
with the coach, in pursuit of a reasonable resolution. If the
question/issue is still not resolved, the parent may then contact
the coach directly. As a final step, the parent may approach the
Athletic Director after all other steps of communication have been
exhausted.
