Awards
students earn through participation in essay contests
sponsored by outside agencies, for example, the Catholic Business
Network of Montgomery County, will be added to any financial aid
offered by Stone Ridge. Financial assistance provided by outside
agencies based on a family's financial need, for example, the Latino
Scholarship Fund, will be included in the total award offered by
Stone Ridge.
Black Student Fund
The Black Student Fund provides assistance to
African-American students grades K - 12. The Fund uses the Parents’
Financial Statement (PFS) from School and Student Service in
Princeton to establish financial need. Their code is 1714. If you
are eligible to apply, be sure to add this code to your PFS
application form and include the additional cost with your

Latino Student Fund
The Latino Student Fund provides financial assistance to
students of Hispanic heritage
who are attending private schools. Please call

for further information. Application forms for the 2007-08 school
year will be available on-line in late January 2007 or may be
obtained by calling their office.
Washington Scholarship Fund
The Washington Scholarship Fund was started in 1993 by a
group of business and community leaders to help low-income families
who are D.C. residents send their children to private school. You
are eligible if your child is a resident of D.C., is entering grades
K – 8 in the fall of 2008, and qualifies for the National School
Lunch Program (see chart on their web site). Scholarship recipients
are selected AT RANDOM through a computerized lottery each year.
Once accepted, the scholarship continues through High School. For

Capital Partners for Education
Capital Partners for Education (CPE) is a non-profit
organization that provides scholarships to low income students not
currently attending a private high school who will enter the 9th or
10th grade in September 2008. Awards are automatically renewable
each year provided the student meets established guidelines. You are
eligible if you reside in the Washington metropolitan area (DC, MD,
VA) and your household income is near the income requirements for
the Federal Government reduced lunch program (see chart on their web

Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Young Scholars
Program
This program offers scholarships to students who will
enter grade 8 in the fall of 2008. Current 7th grade students should

John Carroll Society High School
Scholarship Program
This program is for freshmen, sophomores and juniors
attending the Catholic high schools of the Archdiocese of

Fitzgerald Scholarship Fund
The FitzGerald Scholarship Fund is offered through the
Archdiocese of Washington. Students must complete the Archdiocesan
Tuition Assistance form and the FitzGerald Scholarship application.

Catholic Business Network of Montgomery
County
This program awards scholarship of up to $2500 to 8th graders who
will enter a Catholic High School in the Washington Metropolitan
area in the fall of 2008. Awards are based on participation in an
essay contest for which submissions are due by December 15th. Please
