The Stone Ridge Middle School Library aims to provide a
setting that embraces the five goals of the Sacred Heart education.
The purpose of the MS Library is to provide a collection of fiction
and non-fiction materials, as well as on-line services, that can be
used for leisure reading and to support the Middle School
curriculum. The Library staff provides training and assistance to
students and faculty in all aspects of the Library and it services. It offers students and faculty
the use of ten computers and two printers.
The automated electronic library catalog is available on
all ten computer workstations. The catalog contains the records for the
collection of all division libraries.
Borrowing Materials: Up to 5 books may be checked out for 2 weeks at a time
and can be renewed. Reference materials do not circulate. Materials at one of
the other division libraries may be borrowed with permission from
the Middle School librarians. Students must retrieve and
return material to the division library from which they want to
borrow. The most popular recent magazines do not circulate but are
available for use by students in the library. Back issues are
retained for 1 year and can be borrowed.
To request AV equipment,
bibliographies, or passwords for licensed databases or to suggest titles for
purchase, e-mail the librarians.
