TRADITIONS

As a member of the Sacred Heart community, there are many unique traditions, including:

congés, days when students take leave of their regular studies and channel all energy into fun activities and games.

goûter
, a special treat or snack on special feast days and holidays.

Prize Day, a formal assembly at the end of the school year for the distribution of certificates or awards recognizing specific achievement.

Mater, the Virgin Mary depicted by a young nun in the Society of the Sacred Heart in an 1844 fresco deemed miraculous. The feast of Mater Admirabilis is celebrated on October 20.

Feast Wishes, an all-school gathering before the Christmas holidays where students present gifts of song and cards to every member of the administration, faculty, and staff.
