GATOR GRAB BAG |
Morning and Afternoon Gator Grab Bag:
The Gator Grab Bag Program is the hallmark of Stone Ridge Summer
CampUs. This unique program allows campers entering Grades 2-8 to create their own camp
experience by choosing from a wide variety of classes which will
expand their horizons and give them a chance to discover a new
interest. Our campers can fit sports, the arts, science, and more
all into a single day. There are two class periods in the morning
and another two periods in the afternoon. Each class period is an
hour long, giving the camper plenty of time to explore the activity.
Our program sets itself apart from other camps through our use of
outstanding, experienced adult staff and small student-to-teacher
ratio.
We encourage our campers to take a variety of classes during the
summer. This is a great opportunity for a child to try new
activities. Campers may not take the same class twice in a single
session. If they want to repeat classes over several sessions,
please be advised that certain projects and topics may be repeated.
Our campers never get bored! Gator Grab Bag can be a half-day
morning program, or a full day of fun and learning. Our most popular
option is to combine the Afternoon Grab Bag with our Morning Sports
Academy or Tennis Academy. Pick-up time for half-day campers is
12:45 p.m.
Our Morning Grab Bag classes run from 9:00
a.m. to 11:30
a.m., then
campers have lunchtime from 11:30
a.m.-12:30
p.m. The Afternoon Grab
Bag begins at 12:30 p.m. and ends at 3:00
p.m.and must be combined
with another morning program to make a full camp day. There is no
“afternoon only” option or 12:30
p.m. drop-off.
Morning Gator Grab Bag:

Campers must choose two classes for the morning appropriate to their
grade level in the fall of 2008. Click here for a grid of all classes and their availability.
Afternoon Gator Grab Bag
(12:30-3:00 p.m.)
Campers must choose a morning option
in conjunction with their two classes in the Afternoon Gator Grab
Bag Program to make a full day. Morning options include: Sports
Academy, Tennis Academy, Morning Gator Grab Bag, or Academic
Classes. There is no “afternoon only” option or 12:30

participate in swim recreation periods, as well as Free Swim and
other swim classes, your child must demonstrate proficiency as a
swimmer to a member of our Aquatics staff. Campers who do not demonstrate

Join USPTA Teaching Professional Bob Finney, the 2000 Women’s
National Championship Coach and Montgomery College Coach for
fifteen years, and hone your game of tennis in this two-week,
half-day program. Players gain familiarity with the racket and ball,
developing hand-eye coordination through balancing games and drills.
The rules of the game and the basic skills of forehand, backhand,
and serving the ball are taught, as well as singles and doubles
strategies. Practice focuses on ground strokes, in addition to ball
placement, both in serving and in play. Campers are grouped
according to age and ability. Campers will have the opportunity to
swim occasionally. Private lessons are also available through
arrangement directly with Coach Bob Finney. Tennis Academy is
