Stone Ridge is committed to preparing students to embrace and master
the use of technology. The technology program has been designed to augment our
core curriculum, with many technology initiatives put in place to keep our
students ahead of the digital divide.
All faculty are provided with laptops to facilitate their integration of technology in the classroom, while all upper school students are required to bring their own personal laptops to school daily. Aside from these hardware tools, 5-12th grade students are also provided with a FirstClass email and collaboration account that offers them constant contact with their teachers and peers.
Computers are utilized at all grade levels and are present in all classrooms. The computer labs are equipped with WindowsXP and MacOSX systems for graphics,
video, robotics, and digital photography. The software used supports enrichment, remediation, and drills,
enhancing the curriculum in all subject areas.
